Engineering technicians are those employees who have technical knowledge of how to operate, repair and maintain a machine or product. They are usually not involved in the design and development stage of the project but they play a big role in making the product. They handle various technical areas like how to make circuits work or how to operate the transportation system. Their job is to handle all the technical duties and do hands on work directly affecting the making and maintenance of the product. They may also be sent by the company to handle customer care queries and then repair them personally or give advice over the phone.

These individuals also need to have an engineering degree although some can go for a diploma or associate’s degree.
